The Central Hospital of the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences (MNUMS) has earned ISO 7101 certification, marking a significant achievement in healthcare management. The Quality and Accreditation Institute (QAI), an international body authorized to certify compliance with 16 global standards, conducted an on-site assessment from May 12 to May 14, 2025. Following the evaluation, the hospital promptly implemented the experts’ recommendations within two months. As a result, it successfully met all requirements for certification, reflecting a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Hospital leadership emphasized that adopting the new standard strengthens internal processes while improving patient care. Dr. B. Enkhbold, the hospital director, noted that certification encourages transparency in operations, promotes accountability, and enhances workflow efficiency. Furthermore, it provides a roadmap for consistent quality monitoring and staff development across departments.
The certification aligns hospital operations with international best practices. It addresses risk management, staff training, patient safety protocols, and organizational planning.
