Creative Expo Taiwan kicked off its largest-ever creative brands exhibition on Tuesday at Taipei’s Nangang Exhibition Center. The event features an unprecedented scale, drawing a record number of participants. This year’s Creative Expo Taiwan spotlights three main themes: IP licensing, cultural and creative branding, and cross-industry collaboration.
More than 426 exhibitors from 10 countries and regions are showcasing over 650 intellectual properties and brands. They occupy a total of 932 booths. Remarkably, the number of international exhibitors has tripled compared to last year, signaling the growing global appeal of Creative Expo Taiwan.
Additionally, over 60 global buyers are attending the event. Organizers have arranged more than 360 matchmaking sessions to connect exhibitors with potential partners. These meetings aim to boost business opportunities and expand the reach of Taiwanese creative brands worldwide.
Running alongside the main exhibition, the IP Star Pop Park attracts visitors with 34 original Taiwanese IP characters. The park offers a 360-degree immersive experience divided into five themed zones. Visitors can enjoy unique photo opportunities throughout these zones.
Creative Expo Taiwan also highlights a record number of cross-sector collaborations this year. Thirty-five brands from nine major industries, including transportation, lifestyle, and retail, have teamed up. Their goal is to weave cultural innovation into everyday life seamlessly.
One standout collaboration features an iPass card designed by Yang Shi-ching, inspired by the event’s “Water Scapes” visual theme. The card brings cultural aesthetics into daily commuting experiences. Meanwhile, local craft brewery Sunmai presents limited-edition beer packaging based on the same theme and offers fresh draft beer on-site.
The Ministry of Culture explains these efforts reflect the event’s vision to make culture as fluid and pervasive as water. Creative Expo Taiwan encourages integrating culture into activities like eating, drinking, shopping, and traveling.
The exhibition welcomes professional buyers exclusively on Tuesday and Wednesday. General admission opens Thursday and runs through August 11. During the event week, IP Star Pop Park hosts licensing forums, one-on-one meetings, and exclusive buyer events. These activities support global opportunities for Taiwanese IP and invite the public to celebrate local creativity.
Creative Expo Taiwan continues to grow as a hub for innovation, cultural exchange, and business development. It reaffirms Taiwan’s position as a vibrant center for creative industries in Asia and beyond.
