China and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) continue to deepen cooperation as they celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations. On Tuesday, China’s top political advisor Wang Huning met with Marinko Cavara, deputy speaker of the House of Representatives of BiH, in Beijing. The meeting focused on strengthening political trust and expanding bilateral collaboration.
Wang serves as chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). He stressed that relations between the two nations have grown steadily in recent years. Both sides, guided by President Xi Jinping and the Presidency of BiH, have maintained solid political trust.
Wang noted that the two countries enjoy close cultural and people-to-people exchanges. Economic and trade ties have also yielded impressive results. China hopes to deepen cooperation by building on the consensus reached by both heads of state.
This year marks a significant milestone. China and BiH established diplomatic relations 30 years ago. Wang emphasized that China remains committed to working with BiH on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and mutual benefit.
Moreover, the CPPCC National Committee will actively support efforts to deepen cooperation across all levels. Wang stated that his committee is ready to help drive bilateral relations forward through new initiatives and dialogue.
Cavara responded positively. He praised China’s Belt and Road Initiative and the vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity. He said these ideas reflect a commitment to global peace and development.
BiH, according to Cavara, firmly supports the one-China principle. He added that his country wants to deepen cooperation with China in various practical areas, including trade, infrastructure, and cultural exchanges.
