According to Huang, healthy competition drives progress across the AI sector in China. He believes that respectful rivalry creates a dynamic environment for growth and discovery.
Meanwhile, the China AI market keeps expanding, even under international restrictions. Recent data shows a major jump in domestic computing power. From hardware to software, Chinese tech companies now hold a larger share of the country’s AI chip market. Huang credits this growth to the creativity and skill of Chinese engineers and scientists.
At the same time, Nvidia continues to participate in the Chinese tech ecosystem. During this year’s CISCE, Nvidia showcased its AI robotics, digital-twin platforms, and simulation tools. Huang noted that the team felt fully welcomed. These efforts support Nvidia’s long-term role in the China AI market.
Huang described China as a unique and unmatched innovation hub. He highlighted the nation’s speed, scale, and enormous talent pool. Moreover, he pointed out that China has one of the world’s largest populations of computer scientists. As he explained, ignoring the AI sector in China could bring long-term risks for any global tech company.

To further show Nvidia’s commitment, Huang revealed that the company now employs nearly 4,000 people across China. Nvidia has also launched AI innovation centers in both Beijing and Shanghai. These hubs boost local research, development, and training—all of which support the long-term growth of China’s AI industry.
