China, Russia, and Iran Set for Key Nuclear Talks

Date:

China will host a critical meeting on Friday with Russia and Iran to discuss the Iranian nuclear issue. This diplomatic effort comes as part of China’s ongoing commitment to resolving the situation through peaceful means.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning confirmed that China is playing a central role in organizing the meeting. She emphasized China’s longstanding stance on the importance of political and diplomatic solutions to the Iranian nuclear issue. As a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council and a participant in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), China has consistently supported efforts to maintain the global non-proliferation regime.

Mao stated that the meeting in Beijing represents the latest step in China’s diplomatic efforts. The goal is to enhance communication and coordination among all parties involved. In this context, China hopes to create the conditions necessary for the early resumption of talks and negotiations.

Mao stressed the importance of all parties remaining calm and exercising restraint during this sensitive time. She urged against escalating tensions or moving toward confrontation and conflict. It is crucial, she said, to avoid actions that could further destabilize the situation.

China’s approach focuses on building trust and dispelling doubts among the involved nations. Mao expressed hope that all parties would meet each other halfway, facilitating constructive dialogue. By doing so, she said, the momentum for resuming negotiations could be translated into tangible actions sooner rather than later.

This meeting is a significant development in the ongoing efforts to address the Iranian nuclear issue. As tensions remain high in the region, China continues to push for peaceful resolutions, hoping to create a stable environment for Middle East peace.
