Batra also made history by winning a silver medal in the women’s sanda event, marking India’s first podium finish in this sport at the international games held in Chengdu.

Officials from the International Wushu Federation highlighted the rising level of global participation. They explained that the sport now attracts more athletes, showing steady growth and stronger competition worldwide. This progress underscores the significance of wushu within the broader sports community and the value of the international games in Chengdu.

Foreign athletes also embraced cultural activities during the China World Games. Visitors experienced Sichuan Opera face-changing, Chinese calligraphy, and even sugar painting. Many described these activities as unique opportunities to connect with Chinese heritage.

International leaders praised the local cuisine. The president of the International World Games Association noted his love for Sichuan food, describing it as unforgettable. Athletes also enjoyed Chengdu’s modern side. Members of Canada’s floorball team visited shopping districts, fairs, and cultural exhibitions. They also tried on hanfu, traditional Chinese clothing, adding to their cultural immersion at the China World Games.

According to city officials, the Games highlight Chengdu’s openness and vitality. They pointed out that the event not only celebrates sports but also fosters international exchange. Therefore, Chengdu invested heavily in services to improve the visitor experience during the China World Games.

The city enabled tens of thousands of merchants to accept foreign card payments. Moreover, it introduced support for international e-wallets, simplified tax refund procedures, and expanded multilingual guidance at transport hubs and tourist sites. These changes improved convenience for international guests attending the China World Games.

China World Games also demonstrated the role of technology. Organizers deployed robots for patrol, retail, and delivery tasks. Athletes noticed these robots and praised the efficiency they brought to the Games.

Local tech companies also presented smart glasses capable of real-time translation in more than 40 languages. Athletes showed strong interest in the glasses, which opened new opportunities for international cooperation.
