Chinese Companies Will Enter the Russian Market, Says Envoy

Date:

Chinese companies will enter the Russian market in greater numbers, according to China’s top diplomat in Moscow. On Tuesday, Ambassador Zhang Hanhui emphasized the growing appeal of Russia for Chinese investors. Speaking at the ninth Russia-China Exhibition in Yekaterinburg, Zhang praised bilateral economic cooperation. He highlighted how recent years have brought new opportunities for Chinese businesses in Russia.

He stated that the growing number of trade partnerships has improved investment prospects. Chinese companies, he said, now view the Russian market as more accessible and promising. The ambassador noted that Chinese companies will enter the Russian market not only to seek profits. They also aim to support Russia’s internal economic growth.

Zhang explained that these firms help meet domestic demand, create jobs, and boost local industries. He pointed out that this benefits both the Russian economy and Chinese investors alike. This year’s Russia-China exhibition runs from July 7 to 10. It features hundreds of participating firms, with technology and energy sectors taking the spotlight.

Zhang highlighted the recent signing of an updated agreement in May. The deal focuses on promoting and protecting capital investments between the two countries. He described the agreement as a milestone for government cooperation and a sign of long-term commitment. According to Zhang, this update reassures businesses and signals policy stability.

The ambassador said the improved legal protections will boost investor confidence. As a result, more Chinese companies will enter the Russian market, especially in infrastructure, agriculture, and logistics. He added that Beijing and Moscow continue to develop platforms for trade and dialogue. These platforms aim to reduce regulatory friction and encourage innovation.

While geopolitical tensions shape the global economy, Zhang emphasized the positive momentum in China-Russia ties. He said this partnership shows how mutual trust can produce real economic results. In conclusion, Chinese companies will enter the Russian market with growing enthusiasm. Their presence supports local development and deepens cross-border cooperation. This trend marks a new chapter in regional economic integration between China and Russia.
