Ethnic Solidarity Drives Growth in Xizang Village

Date:

Ethnic solidarity remains key as President Xi Jinping called on villagers in the Xizang Autonomous Region to continue their efforts toward a better life. His message came in a letter addressed to residents of a village in Nyingchi, which he visited in July 2021.

Meanwhile, Xi, who also leads the Communist Party of China and the Central Military Commission, expressed happiness about the village’s recent progress. He said he was pleased to learn that incomes have risen and living standards have improved.

Moreover, he emphasized that villagers should continue to follow the Party’s policies. These policies aim to support development in border regions and improve the daily lives of residents. Xi noted that such efforts contribute directly to long-term prosperity.

In the letter, Xi also highlighted the importance of protecting the local environment. Additionally, he encouraged villagers to maintain the natural beauty of the plateau and to build a strong tourism brand based on local features.

The village, known for its peach blossoms, has made significant strides in recent years. For example, it has expanded rural tourism and developed its collective economy. As a result, both income levels and community cooperation have grown steadily.

Furthermore, Xi also focused on the importance of unity within the region. He urged the village to continue promoting ethnic solidarity. He explained that cooperation among ethnic groups plays a vital role in building a peaceful and stable society.

With improved tourism and economic planning, the village has become a regional example of balanced growth. In response, local leaders have invested in infrastructure and community projects to enhance public services and cultural preservation.

The villagers’ success reflects a strong link between government support and local action. Consequently, Xi praised their determination and encouraged them to build on this momentum for continued success.

By advancing rural tourism, protecting nature, and promoting ethnic solidarity, the village contributes to national goals. Looking ahead, the region’s future will depend on unity, environmental care, and local initiative. Clearly, ethnic solidarity will continue to guide the community as it grows and develops in the years to come.
