G-Dragon Merchandise Launches in Seoul

Date:

G-Dragon merchandise will be available at a special pop-up store in Seoul next week, attracting K-pop fans worldwide. This G-Dragon merchandise event highlights the artist’s ongoing efforts to connect with fans through unique products and concert experiences. M-tree INC will open the G-Dragon pop-up store at IPark Mall in Yongsan from October 24 to 31.Fans can purchase the flower-themed building block sets called 818 Bloom, produced in partnership with local toymaker Oxford. The collection previously sold out in under 20 minutes during two separate pre-order periods.

The 818 Bloom sets first launched on September 21 to coincide with the International Day of Peace. They aim to promote peace as a fundamental human right, a cause G-Dragon actively supports. He founded the JusPeace Foundation in December 2023 to back anti-drug initiatives and social justice programs. Additionally, G-Dragon co-founded the fashion brand Peaceminusone in 2016, further extending his creative and social influence. He helped design the 818 Bloom sets to share his message of peace through merchandise.

Each product includes a certificate of authenticity with G-Dragon’s handwritten signature and a unique serial number, ensuring exclusivity for collectors and fans. Simultaneously, G-Dragon’s “Ubermensch” concert film will debut in IMAX theaters across 50 countries on October 29. The film will also be available in ScreenX, 4DX, and Ultra 4DX formats. Distributor CJ ENM emphasized the concert film showcases highlights from G-Dragon’s world tour, including performances of his hits “Heartbreaker,” “Crooked,” and “Power.”

This tour marks G-Dragon’s first solo world tour in nearly eight years, having kicked off on March 29. It is his third solo tour overall and his first since the 2017 Act III, M.O.T.T.E tour. Industry experts say the combination of exclusive merchandise and innovative concert films helps maintain fan enthusiasm and creates multiple revenue streams. This approach also strengthens G-Dragon’s brand and expands his global reach.

Looking forward, the pop-up store will likely drive demand for similar limited-edition items. The concert film’s worldwide release could attract new fans and boost sales of digital and physical albums. In conclusion, the launch of the G-Dragon merchandise pop-up store, alongside the concert film release, underscores the artist’s influence in music, fashion, and social advocacy. The synergy between these projects shows how G-Dragon continues to shape the K-pop industry and engage audiences around the world.
