Illit Care Bears Collaboration Launches in Japan

Date:

Illit Care Bears collaboration is making waves as the K-pop group prepares for their official Japanese debut. Their agency, Belift Lab, announced that the group will release a limited-edition digital single titled “Toki Yo Tomare,” meaning “Let Time Stop,” on September 1.

Two days later, on September 3, the physical version of the debut single will hit stores. This release will be part of a larger collaboration with the globally beloved Care Bears franchise. As part of the promotion, Illit revealed a teaser image showing all five members in white outfits alongside personalized Care Bears. These bears reflect each member’s personality and style, capturing the group’s youthful and cheerful energy.

The partnership celebrates the Care Bears’ 43rd anniversary. Originally created by American Greetings, the characters continue to enjoy global popularity through television, films, and collectibles. Representatives from the Care Bears franchise expressed excitement over the collaboration. They stated that Illit and Care Bears both spread positivity and emotional warmth through unique group identities.

The new single will feature four tracks. Japanese singer-songwriters Murasaki Ima and Noa contributed to the production. Fans can expect a dreamy sound that aligns with the group’s image and the whimsical nature of the Care Bears brand.

In addition to music, fans can look forward to exclusive Illit Care Bears merchandise. Co-designed items such as keyrings and plush dolls will be available for purchase. These collectibles will launch at a pop-up store running from September 9 to 24 at Laforet Harajuku in Tokyo.

This debut marks a meaningful expansion for Illit as they connect with international audiences through a culturally rich and nostalgic collaboration. As anticipation builds, the Illit Care Bears release promises to blend charm, music, and storytelling in a way fans will never forget.
