The festivities will officially kick off on April 20 at Dream Community in Xizhi, New Taipei City. Guests can visit a vibrant Indian market, try on sarees, and enjoy Henna art sessions. There will also be yoga workshops and live Indian music to entertain visitors.

To mark 30 years since the founding of the India Taipei Association, organizers have invited renowned Indian artists. Their performances aim to reflect the depth and beauty of Indian performance arts.

On April 23, audiences can enjoy classical dance and drama at the Indian Masters Dance and Drama Performance. This free event will be held at the Xinzhuang Cultural Arts Center. Featured artists include Kalamandalam Shiju Kumar and Dr. Gayathri Madhusudan. They will present traditional Indian dances such as Kathakali, Mohiniyattam, and Kuchipudi.

Academic minds will also gather during the International Conference on Indian Performing. Held at the Taipei Main Public Library on April 26 and 27, the event will encourage dialogue between Indian and Taiwanese artists. Experts will explore various themes in Indian performance arts and share cultural insights. Free admission is available with advance registration.

The festival will conclude with a final grand performance on April 27 at the same venue. Audiences can expect dynamic dances and dramatic presentations to close the celebration.

With its blend of tradition and creativity, the event promises to deepen Taiwan’s appreciation of Indian performance arts. Visitors of all ages will have a chance to immerse themselves in the diverse spirit of India. Whether through storytelling, music, or movement, Indian performance arts will offer an unforgettable cultural journey this April.
