Jimin And Jungkook’s Military Discharge Sparks Fan Celebrations

Date:

Jimin and Jungkook’s military discharge brought waves of excitement to fans in Yeoncheon on Wednesday morning. Just one day after RM and V returned, the two remaining BTS stars stood proudly before supporters. Wearing full military uniforms, they arrived in a black car to raucous cheers. They saluted and shouted “Unity!” before addressing the crowd. Fans from around the world cheered with emotional intensity.

Jimin spoke first, thanking supporters for their unwavering patience over the years. He acknowledged the difficult periods, including COVID-19 and military life. He expressed hope that BTS could now resume its artistic journey. Jungkook then shared his own reflections, noting how strange it felt to be back in front of cameras. He offered gratitude to his fellow soldiers for their companionship during service.

The brief event lasted under 20 minutes due to the massive turnout. Nevertheless, Jimin and Jungkook’s military discharge created an atmosphere of celebration. Despite the early hour, hundreds of fans gathered at Yeoncheon Public Stadium. Some even climbed rooftops for a better view of the idols. Although the event’s time remained unofficial, word had spread fast through fan networks.

The two enlisted together in December 2023 and served side by side in the Army’s 5th Infantry Division. Jimin worked as an artilleryman while Jungkook cooked for the unit. Their discharge came just an hour before RM and V’s, continuing a coordinated return. Supporters held signs, waved glow sticks, and displayed messages of love along nearby roads. Jimin and Jungkook’s military discharge clearly meant more than just the end of service.

Foreign fans made long journeys for a chance to witness the moment. One Brazilian visitor said she had never heard of Yeoncheon before but couldn’t miss this event. An Indonesian fan expressed relief at Jimin’s healthy return. These sentiments echoed throughout the crowd, showing global devotion. Jimin and Jungkook’s military discharge became a symbol of unity between BTS and its fandom.

Meanwhile, anticipation grows for a BTS group appearance at their annual anniversary event, BTS Festa. Scheduled for June 13 and 14, it could feature all members except Suga. J-Hope also plans a solo concert nearby during the same dates. This convergence has sparked speculation about potential reunions onstage. Suga will complete his own service later this month.
