Mongolian Cashmere Show Shines in Busan

The Mongolian cashmere show took place on Youth Street in Haeundae District, Busan. It highlighted the richness of Mongolian textile culture. The event was organized by the Consulate of Mongolia in Busan in partnership with the NGO Silk Road Camel Mongolia. This Mongolian cashmere show reflects growing cultural and economic exchange between Mongolia and South Korea.

The fashion segment featured the Mongolian brand NOEMI. It presented a variety of cashmere clothing combining modern styles with traditional Mongolian motifs. Attendees saw the craftsmanship, lightweight textures, and versatility of the garments. The event showed how Mongolian cashmere continues to enter global luxury markets.

The Mongolian delegation also attended the 1st Global City Tourism Summit in Busan from October 27 to 29, 2025. The summit aims to strengthen cooperation among global cities. It focuses on new tourism products, services, and joint initiatives. Delegates emphasized how cultural promotion, including fashion, can boost tourism and attract visitors.

The Consulate of Mongolia in Busan said events like this Mongolian cashmere show can enhance trade and tourism. Officials noted that cultural showcases increase awareness of Mongolia’s luxury textiles. Experts said fashion diplomacy can strengthen economic and cultural ties between countries.

The Mongolian cashmere show also promoted sustainable production. Silk Road Camel Mongolia highlighted ethical sourcing and environmental responsibility behind the garments. Delegates said these practices align with the global push for sustainable luxury.

Organizers plan to expand similar initiatives in the future. They aim to link Mongolian fashion with tourism promotion, trade exhibitions, and cultural diplomacy. These efforts will boost Mongolia’s presence in global luxury fashion and soft power influence.
