Mongolian Cyclists Shine in International Competitions

Mongolian cyclists shine as they achieved remarkable results in international races over the past weekend. Moreover, their performances reflected strong growth and determination on the global stage. In fact, these achievements highlight the rising strength of Mongolia’s cycling program.

For instance, International Master of Sports B. Tegshbayar, representing the Mongolian national cycling team and the “Aldar” sports committee, secured a bronze medal at the Dhofar Classic 2025 in Oman. Consequently, he earned 25 points in the international ranking system. The 174-kilometer race stretched from Al Mughsail Beach to the scenic Darbat Waterfalls, attracting elite riders from across Asia and the Middle East.

In addition, fellow Mongolian rider E. Bolor-Erdene claimed the gold medal. During the award ceremony, he proudly stood as the Mongolian national anthem played. Therefore, these results showcased the team’s growing dominance in international competitions and confirmed their ability to compete at the highest level. Furthermore, the achievements inspired young cyclists back home.

Meanwhile, International Master B. Maral-Erdene competed in the Tour of Shanghai series in China. Notably, he successfully retained the jersey of the best Asian cyclist. Looking forward, the Mongolian national cycling team is preparing for the 2025 UCS Road World Championships. Scheduled for September 21 to 28 in Kigali, Rwanda, the championships will take place in Africa for the first time. Moreover, riders will face challenging terrain, steep climbs, and high-altitude conditions that will test both endurance and strategy.

To ensure peak performance, coaches and athletes are intensifying training programs. In addition, team members focus on nutrition, recovery, and tactical planning to excel in every stage. They also study the routes carefully to gain competitive advantages.
