Mutual Success Drives China-U.S. Cooperation

Date:

China and the United States can achieve mutual success, Chinese President Xi Jinping said during phone talks with U.S. President Donald Trump. He emphasized that cooperation and shared effort would benefit both countries and contribute to global stability. Xi called for joint work based on respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win outcomes to ensure mutual success.

During the conversation, Xi and Trump exchanged views on bilateral relations and other issues of shared concern. The leaders offered strategic guidance for the next stage of cooperation. Observers described the discussion as pragmatic, constructive, and forward-looking, showing a clear path toward shared achievements and joint progress.

Xi highlighted the historical alliance between China and the United States during World War II. He noted that China recently commemorated the 80th anniversary of victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. Family members of the Flying Tigers were invited to view the military parade at Tian’anmen. Xi said the Chinese people will never forget U.S. support during the war. He urged both sides to honor fallen heroes, remember history, value peace, and work together for future mutual success.

The Chinese leader stressed the importance of stable China-U.S. relations. He noted that recent team-level consultations reflected equality, respect, and mutual benefit. Xi encouraged both sides to handle prominent bilateral issues carefully and pursue win-win results, which are essential for achieving mutual success.

On economic matters, Xi urged the United States to avoid unilateral trade restrictions that could undermine progress achieved through multiple rounds of negotiations. He also addressed the TikTok issue, saying China supports solutions that follow market rules, respect Chinese law, and consider both countries’ interests. Xi called for a fair, open, and non-discriminatory business environment for Chinese companies in the United States, emphasizing that such measures help sustain mutual success.

President Trump praised China’s military parade, calling it phenomenal and visually impressive. He described the China-U.S. relationship as the most important bilateral partnership in the world. Trump added that the two countries could achieve many important goals together, supporting peace, stability, and mutual success.

Trump also expressed interest in maintaining a long-term, constructive relationship with China. He emphasized promoting economic and trade cooperation and supporting team-level consultations to resolve disputes. He stated that the United States stands ready to work with China to maintain world peace, which contributes directly to mutual success.

Analysts say the conversation underscores a mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral ties while addressing economic and security concerns. Both leaders aim to balance historical ties with practical, future-oriented cooperation. Experts note that consistent dialogue and negotiation are crucial to achieving sustained global stability and long-term mutual success.

The talks signal a shared understanding that mutual success benefits both nations and the wider international community. Moving forward, both sides plan to continue high-level exchanges and policy coordination to foster trust, economic growth, and enduring mutual success.
