Enji, a Mongolian jazz singer based in Munich, will perform in Japan for the first time. Specifically, the performance will take place on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Minami-Aoyama BAROOM in Tokyo. Furthermore, Enji will be accompanied by his long-time collaborators, guitarist Paul Brändle and bassist River Adomeit.
Enji’s musical journey began in Mongolia, where he grew up in a yurt. Early on, he practiced traditional Mongolian chanting methods, such as “altindo,” and immersed himself in folk songs and dance. After completing his bachelor’s degree in music education in Ulaanbaatar, Enji participated in the Goethe-Institut’s “Goethe Musiklabor Ulan Bator” program in 2014. Consequently, this experience led him to study jazz at the College of Music in Munich.
In May 2025, Enji released his fourth album, “Sonor.” Notably, the album harmoniously blends Mongolian traditions with European jazz, reflecting his cultural and emotional experiences between the two worlds.
