The Nomad World Culture Festival is set to take place from August 22 to 24. This vibrant event will unfold at the foot of Taij Khairkhan Mountain, in the Nalaikh District. It promises to showcase Mongolia’s rich intangible cultural heritage in a spectacular way.

This year, organizers have designed the festival to promote the diversity of ethnic groups across Mongolia. They aim to highlight the unique traditions that define the country’s cultural landscape. One of the festival’s highlights will be the 17th World Horse Archery Championship. More than 120 top archers from over 30 countries will compete. Mongolia will send 15 of its best archers to the tournament. Also, UNESCO representatives and officials from the World Archery Federation will attend. Their presence underscores the international importance of this cultural event.

The Nomad World Culture Festival aligns with key regulations and agreements. It supports the 2003 UNESCO Convention for safeguarding intangible cultural heritage. The festival also follows the Government of Mongolia’s Resolution No. 41 from January 25, 2024. These legal foundations ensure that the festival preserves and promotes cultural traditions responsibly.
