President’s Scholar Sends 39 Mongolian Students to Germany

Date:

The Ministry of Education of Mongolia announced that 39 students will study in Germany starting from 2025–2026. These students are part of the “President’s Scholar – 2100” program. This program, launched by President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, aims to offer young Mongolians international education opportunities. It also seeks to build skilled professionals who can contribute to Mongolia’s future.

Recently, Ambassador Helmut Rudolf Kulitz of Germany and Foreign Policy Advisor Odbayar Erdenetsogt welcomed the students. They wished the students success in their studies abroad. This welcome shows the close partnership between Mongolia and Germany. Furthermore, it highlights the importance of cultural and educational exchange between the two countries.

Under the “President’s Scholar – 2100” program, students will pursue bachelor’s degrees taught in German. They will focus on fields that Mongolia urgently needs. These include areas essential to the country’s economic growth and development. After graduation, the students must return home. Then, they must work in their fields for at least five years. This requirement ensures Mongolia benefits directly from their new skills.

Moreover, the government plans to send 296 students abroad this year. Besides Germany, students will study in China, Hungary, Türkiye, Japan, and the United Kingdom. This effort reflects Mongolia’s broad vision for global education partnerships. It also aims to strengthen human capital through diverse international experience.

The “President’s Scholar – 2100” program is part of a larger strategy. It focuses on improving education quality and workforce skills nationwide. By supporting study abroad programs, Mongolia aims to build a highly skilled workforce. This program shows the government’s commitment to international cooperation and youth development.

In conclusion, the “President’s Scholar – 2100” program offers a great chance for students. It prepares them to return home and help Mongolia progress. The government and Ministry of Education continue to back these initiatives. Consequently, education remains a key driver for Mongolia’s growth and success.
