The spokesperson claimed that foreign politicians ignored legal facts. He criticized their silence on national security laws in their own countries. He also denounced their records on human rights, calling their stance hypocritical.
China insists the rule of law in Hong Kong follows clear legal procedures. The government argues that nobody is above the law, including foreign-linked actors. Beijing emphasized that Hong Kong’s courts operate independently under the Basic Law.
