Mongolia is actively working to strengthen its strategic partnership with Kazakhstan, Chairman Dashzegviin Amarbayasgalan said during his official visit. He met with President Tokayev, underlining Mongolia’s commitment to closer political, economic, and cultural ties.
Amarbayasgalan highlighted that his first visit to Kazakhstan as parliamentary chairman offers an important opportunity to expand bilateral relations. Moreover, he noted that frequent high-level exchanges between the two countries have significantly improved mutual understanding.
“I believe this visit marks a new chapter in Mongolia’s relations with Kazakhstan,” Amarbayasgalan said. “It will reinforce the friendship and cooperation between our peoples, whose histories and traditions are deeply connected.”
The chairman emphasized Mongolia’s desire to strengthen interparliamentary contacts. In addition, he expressed gratitude for the warm reception and noted that growing negotiations will further deepen trust between the two countries. He also highlighted the importance of regular dialogue to solve common challenges.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed trade, economic synergies, interregional cooperation, and cultural exchange. Mongolia is keen to increase trade turnover from $150 million to $500 million. Furthermore, both countries aim to broaden partnerships in education, technology, and infrastructure.
A major milestone in Mongolia-Kazakhstan cooperation includes a landmark agreement allowing Kazakhstan to export its first satellite to a Mongolian entity. This deal demonstrates Mongolia’s willingness to embrace advanced technology and strategic collaboration. In addition, it reflects both nations’ shared vision for a modernized economic partnership.
Amarbayasgalan stressed the importance of shared culture and history. “Our nations have long-standing traditions shaped by nomadic civilization,” he said. “These ties form the foundation of our strong strategic partnership with Kazakhstan.”
