Taiwan is taking bold steps to modernize its Navy. Recently, the Ministry of National Defense approved a major acceleration. As a result, Taiwan will boost maritime defense capabilities much faster than expected.
Currently, Jong Shyn Shipbuilding Company is building two prototype frigates. One focuses on air defense, while the other targets submarines. Moreover, each prototype costs about NT$4.52 billion or US$150.96 million.
