Global Friendship Highlighted During Beijing V-Day Celebrations

Beijing hosted a grand V-Day event that emphasized global friendship among nations attending the commemorations. Leaders from across the world praised China for organizing a well-executed and historic event. The celebrations marked the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance and the World Anti-Fascist War.

Russian President Vladimir Putin attended the event and described the celebrations as brilliantly conducted at a very high level. During his discussions with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, he highlighted the long-standing ties between their nations. Putin noted that these gatherings reinforce cooperation and shared values between countries.

Meanwhile, Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the parade served as a strong reminder of the need to defend national sovereignty. He emphasized that today’s geopolitical climate makes protecting stability and peace even more crucial. Anwar added that the historical lessons of post-World War II peace and China’s resistance against violence and colonialism should guide modern societies.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic expressed sincere gratitude to China and its people, highlighting the nation’s consistent support for Serbia during challenging times. He stated that Serbia will always remember China’s commitment to friendship and solidarity.

In addition, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that attending the parade reaffirmed Uzbekistan’s commitment to fostering global friendship. He stressed that dialogue, cooperation, and sustainable development remain central to his country’s foreign policy.

Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli called the event a historic gathering of nations committed to global friendship and remembrance. He remarked that the occasion reflected a unified approach to honoring the sacrifices of the past while promoting peace for the future.

The V-Day celebrations included a detailed military parade and commemorative activities at Tian’anmen Square. Leaders acknowledged that such events not only honor history but also strengthen cooperation and trust among countries. Many emphasized that global friendship is essential in facing modern challenges collectively.

Overall, the 80th-anniversary V-Day commemorations in Beijing highlighted global friendship as nations celebrated unity, peace, and enduring international ties. Leaders pledged continued collaboration to ensure lasting stability.
