Date:

China highlighted the importance of service trade during the opening of the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services. President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the event, stressing openness, cooperation, and innovation. His remarks outlined China’s determination to deepen integration into the global economy.

Xi emphasized that the world economy faces rapid changes. He noted that challenges and opportunities now emerge together in global development. Therefore, China will firmly commit to expanding high-standard opening up. It will also align closely with international economic and trade rules to maintain steady growth.

Furthermore, Xi stated that China will accelerate the opening of its service market in a structured manner. Platforms such as pilot free trade zones and national demonstration zones will help achieve this goal. These initiatives aim to promote sustainable and high-quality development of service trade across the country.

He also underlined the importance of international collaboration. According to Xi, China is ready to work with all global partners. Together, they can advance open and innovative cooperation in service trade. In addition, he encouraged building a fairer and more open world economy.

Xi stressed that service trade must provide momentum for creating a community with a shared future for humanity. By fostering cooperation, all nations can benefit from stronger growth and greater innovation. This vision highlights China’s intent to link domestic reform with global progress.

The 2025 CIFTIS officially opened in Beijing on Wednesday. The theme of this year’s fair is “Embrace Intelligent Technologies, Empower Trade in Services.” Organizers aim to showcase how digital transformation and advanced technologies can strengthen global trade networks.

The event is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the Beijing municipal government. It has attracted wide participation from domestic and international businesses. Exhibitors plan to display new services, digital platforms, and innovative solutions. These efforts will encourage stronger cross-border cooperation and investment.

In summary, China used the 2025 CIFTIS to reaffirm its focus on service trade. Xi’s call for innovation, openness, and shared development reflects China’s long-term economic strategy. The event represents both a showcase of progress and a platform for global partnership.
