Mongolian athletes have made a strong showing in the latest World Duathlon Rankings. Bolor-Erdene Enkhtaivan emerged as the country’s top performer. He climbed 71 spots to reach 32nd place with 292.5 points after winning the 2025 Asia Triathlon Duathlon Cup in Ulaanbaatar. This victory marked a major boost for his international standing.
Altan-Orgil Bayaraa also recorded significant progress. The Asian Cup bronze medalist rose 91 positions, securing 44th place in the World Duathlon Rankings. Altanshagai Nyambuu followed closely in 52nd place. Meanwhile, Amarsanaa Ganbaatar ranked 77th, and Bat-Otgon Senteg placed 85th. These results marked the first time G. Amarsanaa and S. Bat-Otgon entered the top 100 rankings.
The women’s field also saw notable achievements. Oyunerdene Altankhuyag improved 39 places to claim 33rd in the World Duathlon Rankings. Enkhjin Gantogtogtokh, who earned bronze at the Asian Cup, debuted at 54th with 171.13 points. Other debutants included Anujin Jinjiibadam, Anujin Munkhtugs, Narankhuu Munguntsetseg, and Nomuunaa Ganbaatar. Ts. Ayasun experienced a slight decline, falling eight spots to rank 94th.
These improvements reflect the growing strength of Mongolian duathletes on the global stage. Many athletes now compete regularly in international events, gaining valuable experience and points. Coaches highlighted the importance of home competitions, such as the Ulaanbaatar event, in boosting rankings. The athletes’ dedication to training and international participation has begun producing visible results.
Experts believe this upward momentum could continue. The combination of young talent and experienced competitors positions Mongolia as an emerging force in duathlon. Athletes now aim to maintain or improve their World Duathlon Rankings in upcoming events.
