Meovv comeback plans have been officially confirmed for next month, according to a statement from their agency, The Black Label. The five-member girl group is preparing to release a new album in October, marking their return after a five-month break. The upcoming release will be Meovv’s first since their last EP, “My Eyes Open Vvide,” which dropped earlier this year. This return signals the group’s continued momentum in the competitive K-pop industry, following a year of rapid growth and fan engagement.

Meovv debuted one year ago and quickly gained attention with their bold style and polished performances. Since then, the group has put out two physical singles and one extended play. In July, Meovv made its official entry into the Japanese market with the digital single “Me Me Me.” Industry analysts view the Meovv comeback as a strategic move. K-pop groups often maintain a tight release schedule to retain global attention. In that context, industry experts consider five months between albums a relatively long gap.

The group’s breakout single “Hands Up,” a pre-release from their debut EP, was instrumental in expanding their fanbase. It clinched first place twice on popular Korean music chart shows. The song also sparked viral dance challenges, boosting its visibility across social media. “Hands Up” climbed to No. 14 on Melon’s Top 100 chart in July, Korea’s largest domestic streaming chart. The Black Label confirmed the October schedule but has not yet revealed the title or concept of the upcoming album. However, fans expect the release to feature multiple title tracks, following the success of their earlier dual-track strategy. Industry observers say the Meovv comeback will likely influence release schedules of other fourth-generation groups. Meovv’s rapid rise reflects the evolving dynamics of global K-pop consumption, particularly in streaming metrics and viral content.
