Ambassador Sukhbold Sukhee opened the event, noting that the anniversary coincides with Mongolia Pride Day and the 863rd birth anniversary of Chinggis Khaan. He referenced historic exchanges between the Khitan and Goryeo states and mentioned a 1219 pledge of friendship from the era of Chinggis Khaan.

Tourism is also rising, with nearly 150,000 travelers moving between both nations each year.

Joint initiatives have further strengthened the partnership.
