Jennie Goes Gold with ExtraL

Date:

Jennie goes gold with ExtraL, marking another major milestone in her solo career. The Recording Industry Association of America officially certified the track gold on Monday.

The achievement makes Jennie the K-pop solo artist with the most gold records, now totaling four. She first earned gold with her collaboration “One Of The Girls” alongside Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd, which later went platinum.

ExtraL served as the prerelease track from Jennie’s first solo full-length album, Ruby. It debuted at No. 75 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reentered at No. 99 following the album’s full release. Two other songs from Ruby, “Mantra” and “Like Jennie,” have also received gold certification.

In addition to her chart success, Jennie recently returned to Korea after performing three shows in Singapore. These concerts were part of Blackpink’s Deadline world tour, which will continue in mid-January with three dates at the Tokyo Dome.

Industry experts note that achieving gold status in the U.S. highlights Jennie’s global influence and the growing international reach of K-pop solo artists. They also emphasize the importance of consistent promotion, streaming, and tour performances in achieving such certifications.

Jennie’s management praised the milestone, stating that it reflects both her artistic vision and the dedication of her team. Fans celebrated the news on social media, with many highlighting her consistent ability to break records.

With ExtraL now certified gold, Jennie goes gold for the fourth time, solidifying her position at the forefront of K-pop solo achievements. The recognition is expected to further boost album sales, streaming numbers, and international visibility as she continues to expand her solo career.

The gold certification underscores the global appetite for K-pop solo artists, and Jennie goes gold again serves as a clear example of her enduring impact in the music industry.
