Presidential Awards Mongolia Honor Young Scientists and Doctors

Presidential Awards Mongolia celebrated the achievements of young scientists and doctors who contributed significantly to national and global progress. The recognition highlights Mongolia’s commitment to advancing research and healthcare. Moreover, it underscores the country’s support for professional excellence among emerging talent.

On December 14, 2025, in Ulaanbaatar, the awards honored researchers and medical professionals. The ceremony recognized achievements in science, academic research, and public health service. It also acknowledged innovation and professional dedication.

Among the recipients of the “Outstanding Young Scientist” award were Altantuya Ochirkhuyag, a Research Fellow at the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences. Turmandakh Bat-Orgil, a Lecturer in Green Energy and Engineering at the National University of Mongolia, also received recognition. Tsevelnorov Khurelbaatar, a Lecturer in Gastroenterology at the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences, completed the group.

The “Outstanding Young Doctor” award honored medical professionals for exceptional care and expertise. Recipients included Tserenbat Bazarsad, Senior Surgeon at the Liver, Biliary, and Pancreatic Surgery and Liver Transplantation Unit of the First Central Hospital. Byambatsogt Lkhagvasuren, Senior Cardiologist and Endovascular Surgeon at the Third State Central Hospital, also received recognition. Bilegtsaikhan Batsuuri, Senior Physician at the Radiotherapy Department of the National Cancer Center, completed the list.

President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa extended his congratulations to the awardees and their families. Additionally, he recognized the support of colleagues and institutions that contributed to their success. He emphasized the importance of nurturing talent for national development.

The awards coincide with the upcoming anniversary of the restoration of Mongolia’s national freedom and independence. President Khurelsukh also conveyed his best wishes for peace and prosperity during the national celebrations.

Experts note that such recognition motivates young professionals. It strengthens research output and medical standards across Mongolia. Furthermore, it encourages collaboration among universities, research institutions, and healthcare facilities.
