Uruguay President Yamandu Orsi on Sunday began a seven-day state visit to China, underscoring renewed momentum in bilateral diplomacy. Notably, the trip marks Orsi’s first official visit to China since taking office. Moreover, Chinese President Xi Jinping extended the invitation amid expanding outreach to Latin American partners. As a result, officials described the visit as strategically important for both governments.
