Mongolia to Chair UN Forest Forum Sessions

The forest chairmanship marks a major milestone as Mongolia prepares to lead United Nations forestry discussions. Additionally, Mongolia was elected to chair the 22nd and 23rd sessions of the United Nations Forum on Forests. Moreover, this appointment represents the first time Mongolia will assume leadership of this global environmental platform. During the announcement, officials confirmed the decision at the UNFF21 session held in New York in May.
