Major Firms Compete for Talent at NTUST Job Fair

Date:

NTUST bridges talent and industry once again with its largest campus job fair of the year. On Monday, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology hosted a major recruitment event. Over 200 companies gathered on campus, offering more than 16,000 job opportunities.

Big players like TSMC, ASML, and Quanta led the charge. Over 70% of recruiters came from the tech and manufacturing industries. These firms aimed to tap into the growing student interest in AI and semiconductors.

Throughout the day, 68 companies gave presentations. They covered workplace trends, recruitment tips, and career development strategies. The demand for skilled graduates continues to rise across Taiwan.

As labor shortages grow, companies are raising their recruitment game. Many offered scholarships and long-term training to draw top students. Asus, for example, launched a scholarship of NT$1.12 million over four years.

Tokyo Electron took a personal approach. The firm sent senior engineers and managers to speak directly with students. Company alumni also shared stories about corporate life and growth opportunities.

Lite-On Technology, a partner of Nvidia in new AI projects, also joined the fair. NTUST bridges talent and industry by supplying 35% of Lite-On’s new hires last year. The company now seeks more candidates with diverse skills.

To build its AI workforce, Lite-On launched new programs. These include English-language internships and trainee roles for students from all majors. The company focuses on growing T-shaped talent with depth and flexibility.

NTUST President Yan Chia-yu praised the event. He said the university’s global mindset helps students succeed in industry. NTUST bridges talent and industry by connecting graduates with leading firms across Taiwan.
