Over 600 Larch Trees Planted in Ulaanbaatar

Date:

Over 600 larch trees planted in Ulaanbaatar as part of the National Tree Planting Days 2025. The event took place at the “Inchon Dream Grove” in the Ar Gunt area of Songinokhairkhan District. It was a collaborative effort by multiple organizations, including the Environment Department of the Capital City, the Department of Capital Land Management, and the Citizens’ Representative Office of Songinokhairkhan District.

The tree planting event also saw participation from teams involved in various ongoing projects in the capital. Together, they worked to enhance the city’s greenery and promote environmental awareness. The trees planted will help improve air quality and provide a more sustainable urban environment for future generations.

This initiative falls under the National Tree Planting Days established by a decree from the President of Mongolia. The first weekends of May and September are now designated each year as days to focus on tree planting and environmental care. These days encourage citizens to engage in efforts that improve Mongolia’s natural landscapes.

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Mongolia has called on everyone to actively participate in these events. They encourage citizens to plant, care for trees, and support initiatives that promote environmental sustainability.

Over 600 larch trees planted in this event symbolize Mongolia’s commitment to a greener future. It highlights the importance of collective action in maintaining the nation’s ecological balance.

The tree planting event is just one of many initiatives designed to foster community engagement with environmental preservation. Over 600 larch trees planted during this event mark a step toward a healthier, more sustainable future for Ulaanbaatar.
