Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, recently hosted Odonbaatar Shijeekhuu, Ambassador of Mongolia to the UAE, at the Emiri Court in Ajman. The meeting marked another milestone in the ongoing effort to boost Ajman-Mongolia relations. Both leaders discussed ways to expand cooperation and deepen the friendship between their two countries.
During the meeting, Sheikh Ammar welcomed the Ambassador and spoke highly of the strong ties that bind the two nations. He stressed the importance of building on the existing relationship to promote development and prosperity for their peoples. The Crown Prince emphasized collaboration in various sectors, such as tourism, economy, culture, and education.
Ambassador Shijeekhuu expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and praised Ajman’s rapid progress, especially in tourism and economic growth. He highlighted the Emirate’s potential as a key partner for Mongolia and showed enthusiasm for broadening bilateral cooperation. The meeting also included several senior sheikhs and officials, signaling the high priority placed on Ajman-Mongolia relations.
In a significant development, the UAE and Mongolia recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that grants mutual visa exemptions. This agreement allows holders of ordinary, diplomatic, special, and mission passports from both countries to travel visa-free. UAE nationals can now stay in Mongolia for up to 30 days without a visa, while Mongolian citizens enjoy visa-free entry to the UAE under the same conditions.
Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State for the UAE, and Battsetseg Batmunkh, Mongolia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, signed the MoU. This step aims to facilitate travel and enhance cooperation in multiple fields. It also reflects the mutual commitment to strengthening Ajman-Mongolia relations and boosting people-to-people contacts. The visa exemption agreement is expected to accelerate joint ventures in politics, business, education, and cultural exchange. Both countries are eager to explore new opportunities for collaboration that benefit their economies and societies.
By removing travel barriers, Ajman-Mongolia relations are set to grow even stronger. Looking ahead, both parties plan to continue building a comprehensive partnership. The goal remains clear: to achieve sustainable growth and prosperity for both nations. With ongoing dialogue and cooperation, Ajman-Mongolia relations will likely reach new heights in the near future.
