Celebrated Chinese actress Li Bingbing has found contentment and happiness embracing singlehood at the age of 52, dedicating more time to travel, family, and personal growth.
Li, known for her leading roles in both Chinese and international cinema, recently shared vacation photos and heartfelt reflections on her Xiaohongshu social media account. “Not relying on anyone, become your own light. Pierce through the shadows, illuminate the path ahead,” she wrote, symbolizing her independent and fulfilling lifestyle.
In recent years, Li has chosen to significantly reduce her acting workload, opting instead for spontaneous travel without fixed schedules. “The wind blows lightly, and so does my heart,” she explained, reflecting her newfound sense of freedom.
One of her greatest joys has been traveling frequently with her parents, experiences that have brought unexpected emotional healing within the family. Li noted how her parents, initially hesitant due to their age, grew enthusiastic about their journeys, overcoming their reservations and keeping pace with her adventurous spirit.
“These trips also ‘heal’ them,” Li remarked. “I’ve noticed that my dad isn’t as hot-tempered as before, and my mom isn’t as nitpicky.”
In a recent interview with Marie Claire, Li expressed satisfaction with the balance she’s achieved between personal time and career. Alongside her sister Li Xue, she manages an entertainment company, overseeing artists such as Gülnezer Bextiyar and Zhou Ye.
Li also finds happiness in being actively involved in raising her sister’s children, treating them as her own. Regarding relationships and marriage, she maintains a relaxed outlook, saying, “If I meet the right person, then date. If we’re no longer suitable or happy together, then part ways.”
Unfazed by aging, Li openly embraces this new stage in her life, enthusiastically pursuing her interests, including skiing, fitness, and studying English.
