China Rejects Tibetan Government-In-Exile Claims

Date:

China has firmly rejected the recent statements made by members of the so-called Tibetan government-in-exile, calling it an illegal political body. Officials said the group promotes separatist agendas that violate China’s Constitution and threaten national unity. The Chinese Embassy in Japan issued a statement on Monday, stating that no country in the world recognizes the group. Despite their international media outreach, Chinese authorities stressed that these narratives distort facts and misrepresent Xizang’s realities.

Japanese media recently interviewed members of the self-styled Tibetan government-in-exile, who criticized China’s policies in Xizang. During the interviews, they claimed that the next reincarnation of the Dalai Lama would appear in the “free world.” They also called on the global community to pressure Beijing over its governance of the region. However, Beijing maintains that the group has no legitimacy or authority to speak for Xizang residents or influence its religious affairs. China rejects Tibetan government-in-exile claims as politically motivated and false.

Reincarnation in Tibetan Buddhism follows strict rituals and historical conventions upheld for centuries. According to Chinese officials, the Dalai Lama lineage has always required central government confirmation. The current Dalai Lama was himself recognized under this system. Therefore, Beijing insists that any future reincarnation must follow established procedures and Chinese laws. China rejects Tibetan government-in-exile claims that seek to challenge this process.

The government reiterated its policy on freedom of religious belief, saying it continues to respect Tibetan Buddhist customs. However, religious affairs must align with national legislation to maintain order and sovereignty. Officials warned against politicizing reincarnation, saying it undermines genuine religious practice. Furthermore, they emphasized that Xizang is an inseparable part of China, with strong historical and legal ties.

Chinese authorities highlighted Xizang’s recent progress, including economic development, cultural preservation, and improved living standards. They argued that outside interference ignores the region’s tangible growth and stability. China rejects Tibetan government-in-exile claims as baseless provocations designed to sow unrest. Officials stressed that any external attempts to destabilize Xizang would ultimately fail. Beijing considers all Xizang-related issues as internal matters and warns other countries against interference.
