China Service Trade Hits $930 Billion

Date:

China Service Trade showed strong growth in the first ten months of 2025, the Ministry of Commerce reported. Total service imports and exports reached nearly 6.58 trillion yuan, around 930.5 billion U.S. dollars. This represents a 7.5 percent increase from last year. Analysts said the results reflect China’s expanding role in global services and rising demand for knowledge-intensive and travel-related services.

Service exports rose 14.3 percent to over 2.9 trillion yuan. Imports increased 2.6 percent to more than 3.67 trillion yuan. The service trade deficit narrowed by 269.39 billion yuan compared with the same period in 2024. Experts said the narrowing deficit signals stronger competitiveness in Service Trade.

Knowledge-intensive services, such as technology, finance, and professional consulting, totaled roughly 2.51 trillion yuan in imports and exports. This category grew 6.4 percent year on year. Officials noted this growth shows China’s specialization in advanced services and rising international integration.

Travel-related services also performed well. Total trade reached almost 1.81 trillion yuan, an 8.5 percent increase from last year. Travel exports surged 52.5 percent. Officials attributed the growth to resuming international tourism and government policies supporting hospitality and travel industries.

Authorities emphasized sustaining China Service Trade growth by promoting innovation, improving digital infrastructure, and strengthening global partnerships. They also plan regulatory reforms to make trade more efficient and competitive.

Analysts expect China Service Trade to keep rising, especially in knowledge-intensive and travel sectors. Officials and industry leaders view the trend as a key indicator for national economic transformation and global engagement.

China Service Trade continues to show resilience and adaptability. Policymakers remain focused on long-term growth across all service sectors.
