China Urges Dialogue Over Force In Iran-Israel Dispute

Date:

China’s top diplomat Wang Yi firmly pushed for diplomacy over military action during a call with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar on Saturday. He repeated that China urges dialogue in resolving international disputes and condemned forceful actions. Wang listened to Saar’s explanation of Israel’s position but stressed the need for restraint. He criticized Israel’s recent military move against Iran as a violation of international law. Wang added that such aggression weakens the global push for peace in the region.

The Chinese foreign minister said both Israel and Iran hold key roles in Middle Eastern stability. According to Wang, their conflict affects broader regional peace and could trigger deeper chaos. He stressed the importance of stopping further escalation immediately. He said China urges dialogue over escalation to prevent a wider crisis. Wang called for all parties to return to diplomatic talks and political solutions.

He told Saar that he had also spoken to Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi. Wang said both countries should avoid decisions that prolong instability and fear in the region. He argued that conflict only creates cycles of retaliation, not resolution. According to Wang, force never builds lasting peace. He reiterated that China urges dialogue and common security over threats and violence.

Wang insisted the Iranian nuclear issue still has space for peaceful negotiation. He reminded Saar that the international community favors diplomacy, not force. Wang said mutual concerns can be addressed only through inclusive security efforts. China remains ready to assist in creating conditions for a diplomatic breakthrough. As always, China urges dialogue that prioritizes cooperation and coexistence.

Before ending the call, Wang raised concerns over the safety of Chinese personnel and institutions in Israel. He said protecting them must remain a priority. Saar responded with assurances, saying Israel values China’s role and would ensure their safety. Wang welcomed the gesture and reaffirmed Beijing’s willingness to mediate peacefully. China continues to act based on principle and fairness while urging all sides toward restraint.
