Cortis will bring its Los Angeles concert experience directly into theaters worldwide next month. Big Hit Music confirmed Sunday that a cinema screening will accompany the August 13 show. This decision extends the rookie boy group’s debut world tour well beyond ticketed venues.
Taking place at YouTube Theater, this performance forms part of the North American tour leg. Specifically, it belongs to the group’s ongoing “Put Your Phone Down” world tour schedule. Therefore, organizers arranged this cinema screening so distant fans could still participate meaningfully.
Altogether, more than 870 cinemas spanning 29 countries and regions will host screenings. South Korea features prominently among these participating markets alongside various international locations globally. Meanwhile, certain regions will offer delayed screening times to handle time zone differences.
Rather than simply relaying the performance, organizers included additional content exclusively for theater attendees. A thirty-minute preshow segment, created specifically for this occasion, precedes the main concert. Separately, Los Angeles fans may instead attend a standing-room viewing party at The Vermont Hollywood.
Korean ticket sales begin July 31 at exactly 10 a.m. local time. Conversely, other participating countries will reveal theater schedules later through the tour’s official website.
Before this Los Angeles date, Cortis performs at Lollapalooza Chicago across July 31 and August 1. Interestingly, they stand as the sole K-pop boy group included in this year’s lineup. Subsequently, their North American itinerary continues through Toronto, New York, Atlanta, Irving, and San Francisco.
After finishing North American dates, Cortis heads home for two already sold-out Seoul performances. Finally, the tour wraps with three concerts in Kanagawa, Japan, running September 4 through 6. This cinema screening strategy demonstrates how touring artists increasingly reach fans beyond physical venue limitations.
