Fujian Carrier Training Conducted Successfully

Date:

Fujian Carrier Training marks a major milestone as China’s PLA Navy conducts its first live-force maritime exercise. The event demonstrates growing operational capabilities and strengthens naval readiness.

The exercise took place recently in the East China Sea, involving the aircraft carrier Fujian and supporting vessels including Yan’an and Tongliao. The PLA Navy organized the operation to test multi-subject naval operations.

During the training, the carrier formation executed formation navigation, joint ship-aircraft search and rescue missions, and carrier-based aircraft takeoffs and landings. These exercises aim to improve coordination between ships and aircraft.

Officials stated that the training is the first live-force maritime drill since the commissioning of the Fujian aircraft carrier. They emphasized the importance of real-time exercises in enhancing combat preparedness.

The exercise also allowed naval crews to practice rapid response scenarios, refine communication protocols, and test integrated operational systems under realistic conditions. Observers noted the complexity of coordinating multiple ships and aircraft simultaneously.

Analysts suggest the Fujian Carrier Training reflects China’s focus on expanding maritime power and demonstrating the operational capabilities of its newest carrier assets. They highlight that joint drills strengthen strategic deterrence and readiness.

The inclusion of multiple ships in the formation indicates growing PLA Navy proficiency in managing complex fleet operations. It also showcases the ability to integrate aircraft with surface vessels effectively.

Experts note that live-force exercises provide critical data on performance under operational stress. The training helps identify gaps in logistics, maintenance, and crew coordination that can be addressed before actual deployment.

Looking ahead, the PLA Navy plans to conduct further multi-subject exercises with the Fujian carrier. Future drills are expected to include extended sea operations, night maneuvers, and more advanced combat simulations.

The Fujian Carrier Training highlights China’s efforts to enhance naval readiness, integrate advanced technology, and improve strategic capabilities. It underscores the PLA Navy’s commitment to expanding operational experience and preparedness in the maritime domain.
