GLAY Event Cancellation Announced After Tsunami Warning

The GLAY event cancellation was confirmed on July 30 after a tsunami warning was issued following an earthquake. The rock band announced that several sessions of TERU’s art exhibition, “HAKODATE ART EXHIBITION 2025 Vol.2,” scheduled for July 31, would be canceled.

Their official account posted a notice titled “Event Cancellation Notice.” It explained that due to the tsunami warning, all sessions planned for Thursday, July 31, would no longer take place. Specifically, the canceled sessions include the 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 12:00 PM time slots.

The statement also addressed ticket holders. Tickets for the canceled sessions can be transferred to any show from August 5 onward. Additionally, refunds will be offered for those unable to attend on alternative dates. The announcement promised to provide updates on any further cancellations promptly through their official website.

GLAY apologized for the inconvenience and asked fans to stay updated by checking the official site regularly. The band emphasized their priority to ensure everyone’s safety amid the uncertain situation.

Following this, TERU posted a message on his X account. He explained that the situation remains unstable, and they cannot yet confirm whether the show will happen by noon on July 31. TERU apologized to ticket holders and attendees who traveled to Hakodate, expressing that saving lives is the top priority.

He assured fans that the situation will be closely monitored. A final decision about the event will be made once the tsunami warning is lifted. TERU asked for everyone’s understanding during this difficult time.

With the GLAY event cancellation, the band is putting safety first and encouraging fans to stay informed about any updates. The ongoing situation remains unpredictable, but they remain committed to protecting all involved.
