Hybe Cine Fest in Asia brings K-pop to cinemas across ten countries this summer, starting from July 10. The entertainment firm confirmed Thursday that the music-focused festival will feature reedited concert films and a mash-up of music visuals. Trafalgar Releasing, a global distributor, will partner with Hybe for the cross-border rollout. Screenings will include performances from BTS, Seventeen, Tomorrow X Together, and Enhypen. The event aims to offer fans an immersive cinema experience rather than just a traditional concert replay.

Hybe Cine Fest in Asia brings K-pop to cinemas with sing-along versions of major group concerts reimagined for large screens. Featured titles include BTS’ “Map of the Soul On:E,” Seventeen’s “Be the Sun – Seoul,” and TXT’s “Sweet Mirage Finale.” Enhypen’s “Fate in Seoul” will also screen alongside a curated mash-up of 22 music videos. Viewers will see Romanized subtitles to help them follow along with the lyrics and chants. The mash-up includes visuals from newer groups like Le Sserafim, TWS and Katseye.

The festival runs for four days in most countries and until August 7 in Japan. Participating countries include Korea, Japan, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines. Hybe Cine Fest in Asia brings K-pop to cinemas with themed theaters offering exclusive merchandise and interactive spaces. Each region will feature at least one “special location” with additional fan experiences. This structure echoes the strategy used in Hybe’s Latin American edition last year.

That 2023 edition attracted over 260,000 attendees across 11 countries, exceeding expectations for a non-traditional music release. Hybe now seeks to build on that momentum by focusing on Asia, where K-pop’s popularity continues to surge. Executives say the cinema model allows fans to celebrate together while supporting their favourite artists. They also hinted at future editions in Europe and North America. The approach blends music and community in a new kind of fan ritual.

As entertainment boundaries blur, Hybe positions itself at the intersection of cinema and global fan culture. This festival aims not only to entertain, but also to reinforce emotional connections between fans and artists. The event reflects Hybe’s broader ambition to transform how K-pop is consumed worldwide. By anchoring live performance in local cinemas, the company shifts focus from arenas to neighborhoods.
