Jade Gas Holdings Advances Gas Production in Mongolia

Date:

Jade Gas Holdings Limited has announced significant progress in its gas production program at the Red Lake gas field, located in Mongolia’s South Gobi region. The company has successfully completed horizontal drilling at its first production well, marking a key milestone in its strategic push toward commercial operations.

According to the company, the initial results have shown strong gas potential with a high concentration of methane—an encouraging indicator for future output levels. This development supports Jade Gas Holdings’ ambition to begin commercial gas production by mid-2025, a move that could position the company as a key player in Mongolia’s emerging energy sector.

The Red Lake field has been a focal point of Jade Gas’s operations, as the company aims to tap into the growing demand for reliable and cleaner energy sources in Asia. By demonstrating viable gas flows and advancing its technical capabilities, Jade Gas is poised to contribute meaningfully to Mongolia’s domestic energy supply while attracting interest from international energy markets.

The company stated that continued development and testing will proceed in the coming months, with further updates expected as it works toward full-scale production readiness. The successful implementation of this project is also anticipated to benefit stakeholders and regional energy infrastructure development.
