Kai Returns With “Wait on Me” After Military Service

Date:

Kai returns with “Wait on Me,” marking his first musical project in two years. SM Entertainment announced the release earlier this week. The new EP will drop Monday at 6 p.m. on major music platforms.

Fans can also enjoy the music video for the title track “Wait on Me” at the same time. Kai returns with “Wait on Me” after finishing his mandatory military service in February. The album represents a fresh chapter in his solo career.

The title song blends pop melodies with vibrant Afrobeats rhythms. The track mixes subtle percussion with tension-building synth strings. It explores how emotions develop through patience rather than speed.

Kai returns with “Wait on Me” following the success of “Rover,” which came out in March 2023. That album dropped before his military enlistment. His solo journey began in 2020 with the release of his debut EP “Kai.”

This latest project includes seven songs, each offering a different mood and style. Besides the lead single, the EP features the pre-release track “Adult Swim.” The song showcases Kai’s signature relaxed and refreshing vibe.

Other tracks on the album include “Walls Don’t Talk,” “Pressure,” “Ridin’,” “Off and Away,” and “Flight to Paris.” Each song highlights Kai’s versatility as a singer and performer.

Kai debuted in 2012 as the main dancer of EXO. Since then, he has grown into one of K-pop’s top solo artists. His powerful stage presence and smooth vocals continue to win over fans worldwide.

With this new release, Kai sets the tone for his next musical phase. Listeners can expect both innovation and emotional depth from this comeback.
