Momoland Members Reunite Under New Label for Group Activities

Date:

Two years after stepping away from the spotlight, the six members of Momoland reunite under new agency Inyeon Entertainment. Hyebin, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy have officially signed exclusive contracts for group promotions. However, they will continue pursuing individual projects separately.

This announcement comes after years of uncertainty for the group. In January 2023, Momoland ended its contract with MLD Entertainment. The group had reached the standard seven-year mark in the K-pop industry, which often signals change. After that, the members took time off and explored solo careers in acting, music, and variety shows.

Despite being inactive, fans held onto hope. Now, Momoland reunites under new agency Inyeon Entertainment, bringing fresh excitement to longtime supporters. The label is known for managing actors like Kim Ji-ho and Kim Hee-jung, as well as singer ONLEE. The addition of Momoland marks a shift in its artist lineup.

Momoland first gained fame with its catchy, energetic hits. Songs like “Boom Boom,” “BAAM,” and “I’m So Hot” helped the group rise quickly. But starting in 2019, the lineup faced changes. Taeha and Yeonwoo left the group, and Daisy followed in 2020. These departures affected the group’s momentum.

Under the new setup, the label will focus only on group-related promotions. Each member retains freedom to work with other agencies for solo projects. This model mirrors similar approaches seen with BLACKPINK, Girls’ Generation, and INFINITE.

Still, many questions remain. It’s unclear if the group will use the name “Momoland.” MLD Entertainment still owns the trademark. Any use would require permission or a licensing deal. Likewise, re-releasing or performing past hits could involve royalty negotiations.

For now, fans can celebrate one clear fact: Momoland reunites under new agency and is ready for a new chapter together.
