Mongolia and Japan Pledge to Deepen Bilateral Ties Following High-Level Visit

Mongolia’s Foreign Minister Battsetseg Batmunkh met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia, Igawahara Masaru, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations following her recent official visit to Japan.

Minister Battsetseg expressed her appreciation to Ambassador Igawahara for his close cooperation in facilitating her visit to Japan as an Honorary Guest, emphasizing the productive outcomes and meaningful content of the trip. She noted that the visit further solidified the strong foundation of trust and cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Igawahara reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to enhancing high-level political dialogue and accelerating economic and investment initiatives. He also highlighted plans to deepen cooperation in education, culture, and local partnerships, aiming to bring tangible benefits to both nations through people-to-people and institutional engagement.

The meeting signaled a renewed momentum in Mongolia-Japan relations, building on shared values and a history of constructive diplomacy.
