North Korea-China Friendship Reaffirmed at Dialogue Event

North Korea-China friendship reaffirmed as Pyongyang hosted an event for the International Day for Dialogue Among Civilizations. North Korea’s Vice Foreign Minister Kim Son-gyong led the remarks. The Chinese Embassy in Pyongyang organized the event on Tuesday. The United Nations established the day last year following China’s proposal. It aims to promote global dialogue, peace, and cooperation.

During the gathering, Kim reiterated North Korea’s position. He emphasized the need to respect all civilizations. He firmly rejected using geopolitical interests to provoke division. North Korea-China friendship reaffirmed in his speech, aligning with the vision of both nations’ leaders. The Chinese Embassy published Kim’s statement on its website.

In line with the noble will of our top leaders, deepening North Korea-China friendship reaffirmed remains our consistent policy, Kim declared. He highlighted the role of dialogue in preventing conflict. Moreover, he urged rejection of any moves that fuel hostility among cultures. The event drew around 60 participants. These included North Korean officials and foreign diplomats.

Chinese Ambassador Wang Yajun also addressed the attendees. He called for dialogue to promote peace and development. Let us advance human progress through equal exchange among civilizations, he said. Wang further stressed rejecting confrontation in favor of cooperation. North Korea-China friendship reaffirmed once again through shared diplomatic aims.

The event marked the first observance of the International Day for Dialogue Among Civilizations. The UN General Assembly passed the resolution last year. China’s initiative aims to spotlight cultural diversity and mutual understanding. Therefore, the embassy event carried both diplomatic and symbolic weight. It underscored the deepening bilateral ties between the two neighbors.

Going forward, officials expect further exchanges. The two countries plan more cultural and diplomatic events. These aim to foster greater understanding. Additionally, both sides seek to counter global tensions through dialogue. North Korea-China friendship reaffirmed remains a central theme in their partnership.
