K-Culture Influence Highlighted to by RM at APEC 2025

Date:

BTS leader RM will highlight the growing K-culture influence at the APEC CEO Summit Korea 2025 in Gyeongju. His appearance emphasizes how South Korea’s creative industries continue shaping global business and cultural exchanges.

RM will speak on Wednesday at the Gyeongju Arts Center from 3:05 to 3:15 p.m. His presentation, part of a cultural session, will focus on “Cultural and Creative Industries in the APEC Region and the Soft Power of K-culture.”

The K-culture influence has strengthened South Korea’s reputation as a global cultural leader. RM is expected to share insights from his role as BTS’s leader, explaining how creativity drives innovation, global understanding, and economic growth.

APEC organizers described RM as a creative visionary known for his artistic curiosity and philosophical approach to music. This aligns with the summit’s theme, “Beyond, Business, Bridge (3B),” which promotes partnerships between culture, technology, and commerce.

The APEC CEO Summit, the largest private-sector event tied to APEC 2025, gathers business and government leaders from across the region. The two-day summit includes 20 sessions and 85 speakers discussing global issues such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, energy transition, and cultural industries.

RM will be the only K-pop artist addressing the summit, underlining the expanding K-culture influence in diplomacy and global business. His speech represents how South Korea’s soft power strengthens cooperation through creative innovation and cultural connection.

Hybe, the parent company of BTS’s label Big Hit Music, serves as a diamond sponsor of the summit. It is the only entertainment company among the event’s top sponsors. Hybe will operate a promotional booth to showcase its global business network, artist achievements, and the iconic K-pop fan culture.

RM’s presence at APEC 2025 marks a milestone for cultural diplomacy. His participation demonstrates how creativity, innovation, and cultural exchange can connect economies and shape the global future.
