AI Transformation Begins Across Samsung Group Affiliates to Reshape Operations

Date:

Samsung Group launched a comprehensive artificial intelligence initiative across all of its major corporate affiliates on Tuesday. Consequently, this corporate shift allows employees to utilize external generative tools like ChatGPT and Gemini immediately. Furthermore, the tech conglomerate intends to overhaul its traditional operational workflows and boost daily workplace productivity. Leaders expect this sweeping rollout to fundamentally modernize software development and diverse marketing campaigns.

This strategic internal expansion extends far beyond basic office automation for the global electronics manufacturer. Specifically, the conglomerate aims to deeply embed advanced technology throughout its complete industrial value chain. Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong previously signaled this massive organizational transition during his recent annual address. He forcefully asserted that the firm must thoroughly change its workplace culture and corporate DNA. Therefore, this ambitious enterprise-wide push marks the first concrete step toward becoming an AI-native company.

To accelerate this change, the group will launch a specialized executive training program this month. Meanwhile, nearly fifty affiliate presidents will attend an intensive AX Boot Camp to design practical systems. Executives must directly use these tools to build functional blueprints for future business process redesigns. Additionally, these top corporate leaders will present a unified vision for their respective operational units.

Subsequently, approximately twenty-three hundred executives will undergo rigorous technological instruction before the twelfth of August. Furthermore, the company plans to provide comprehensive digital training to all global employees by December. To manage this massive workload, each individual business affiliate will establish a dedicated AI transformation team. Chief executives will directly manage the deployment of these applications across eight essential business functions.

However, deploying outside generative tools introduces considerable data security challenges for a major global manufacturer. Consequently, Samsung will significantly strengthen its corporate security frameworks while expanding access to external digital platforms. The current project builds upon a successful product strategy that introduced intelligent features into smartphones. Ultimately, this comprehensive AI transformation will establish new benchmarks for modern supply chain management and corporate strategy.

Corporate leaders believe that rapid AI transformation will help the conglomerate maintain its dominant global position. As a result, manufacturing facilities will optimize logistics networks and streamline critical business decisions quickly.
