Weverse Con Festival 2025 expands musical diversity

Date:

Weverse Con Festival 2025 lit up Incheon with a broadened lineup and bold steps beyond its K-pop origins. Held at Inspire Entertainment Resort, the festival featured artists from diverse genres, not just Hybe or Weverse-affiliated acts. Notably, rock band Nell, Lee Mu-jin, and musical actress Jeong Sun-ah added depth to the roster. Performers entertained crowds under both blazing sun and glowing lights in indoor and outdoor stages. Therefore, fans welcomed the expansion, which showcased the wide musical palette of Weverse Con Festival 2025.

During the day, concerts took place in Discovery Park, where fans gathered despite the sweltering heat. For instance, Jeong Sun-ah delivered a stirring set from musicals like Frozen and Wicked, along with a Day6 cover. Later, Kyuhyun of Super Junior closed the afternoon segment with ballads and charm. He waved from a bubble-filled stage while singing “Time With You” to delighted fans. As always, Weverse Con Festival 2025 embraced moments of intimacy and grandeur alike.

In the evening, the event transformed with “Weverse Park Night,” beginning at 6:30 p.m. with Lee Mu-jin’s acoustic “Bird on the Edge.” Soon after, BTOB’s Lee Chang-sub followed with a moody ballad and later transitioned to a bright, energetic performance. Meanwhile, boy group &Team blended Korean and Japanese tracks as fans cheered under night skies. Additionally, the indoor arena came alive with acts like P1Harmony, Lun8, UAU and TWS. The lights, lasers, and pyrotechnics created an immersive sensory experience.

Each year, the festival honors a legendary figure in Korean pop, and in 2025 that honor belonged to BoA. Le Sserafim members introduced her as a trailblazer who opened new paths for female idols. Then, BoA performed iconic hits like “Atlantis Princess” and “Only One,” reigniting nostalgia among long-time fans. UAU and TWS paid tribute with covers of her classic songs. Consequently, these cross-generational moments gave Weverse Con Festival 2025 a distinctive emotional resonance.

Toward the end, Le Sserafim returned to the stage with tracks from their Japanese album, though Huh Yun-jin missed the show due to injury. Even so, fans cheered as the group reminded them, “Summer means Le Sserafim.” Finally, TXT closed the festival with a 17-song performance, their third time headlining the event. Highlights included solo tracks, subunit collaborations, and their latest song “Love Language.” Ultimately, with global fans in attendance, the Weverse Con Festival 2025 succeeded in bridging languages and genres.
