Yoshiokubo Fashion Show Unveils Unique Spectacle at Historic Tokyo Amusement Park

Date:

A fashion show featuring Japanese brand Yoshiokubo took center stage at Asakusa Hanayashiki amusement park in Taito Ward, Tokyo, delivering a visually striking event that blended contemporary fashion with historic charm.

The nighttime showcase was part of Tokyo Collection, one of the premier highlights of Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo. Marking a historic first, the event transformed the 170-year-old amusement park, which dates back to the Edo period (1603-1867), into a runway, making it the first full-scale fashion show held at the iconic venue.

Designer Yoshio Kubo, known for his innovative approach to fashion, aimed to create a unique and unforgettable experience. “I wanted to show something that no one had ever seen before,” Kubo stated. “I think the show introduced a new style that everyone could enjoy.”

The fusion of fashion and history provided an atmospheric setting, adding an element of nostalgia and excitement to the avant-garde designs presented on the runway.
